More names of possible candidates for Congress

My phone has been ringing off the hook. Here are some new names of individuals debating whether to run for Congress

Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons – extremely popular; the first sheriff to win a second term without opposition.

State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden—She has been mentioned as a possible Florida Attorney General candidate in 2026 but may see Congress as too good an opportunity to pass up. She will draw support in Okaloosa County.

Andrew McCoy, the host of NewsRadio 1620, said he received calls asking him to run. For now, he will continue to host the morning show.

Bobby Wagner – the young mayor of Destin, Fla.

Patt Maney – State Rep. from Okaloosa County, former county judge and a retired brigadier general.

  1. Chip would have been amazing. I don’t know much about Maney, but he’d run circles around Salzman from what I do know about him.
