UPDATE: I have received more information. The Senate Ethics & Election Committee removed the position of UWF Broad of Trustees chair from the board of directors of the Florida Institute of Human and Machine Cognition (SB 312). Boise State professor is still on the Board of Trustees (BOT). However, the removal from IHMC board doesn’t bode well for Yenor’s upcoming senate approval.
Gary Fineout reports a Senate panel today voted to remove UWF Broad of Trustees chair Scott Yenor.
State Sen. Randy Fine pushed for the change, calling the chair – who was appointed to the board by @GovRonDeSantis – an “idiot,” a “bigot” and “misogynist” …
More later.

Rick, As a UWF grad and the father of 3 UWF grads…I am hoping this is an accurate report. Yenor, never deserved a place in Florida’s Education Community…and should have no place in Florida politics. Embarrassing. DeSantis’ sycophants…’go home’.
Hi Rick – LOVE it if true, but are we sure about this? I saw that Fine put forward language to remove BOT chair from the board of IHMC, in SB 312 – perhaps this is what you’re hearing about?
Second to removing all the nominations, this is the best possible news!
Thanks to the senate for their enlightened judgement.
