FloridaWest, Greater Pensacola Chamber and Escambia County missed this news story. GE Vernova unveiled a state-of-the-art Customer Experience Center in Pensacola last week.
- The innovative customer experience center at its Pensacola facility was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Chief Executive Officer Scott Strazik. The new center features multiple conference rooms, dedicated collaboration and networking spaces, and seamless access to the production floor.
The City of Pensacola attended the event and sent a photo. This enhancement is part of GE Vernova’s comprehensive $600 million investment plan for its U.S. operations over the next two years, announced in January. The Pensacola facility has demonstrated its strategic importance by producing wind turbines generating over 1.2 GW of the total 2.4 GW ordered for New Mexico’s SunZia wind farm project.
As we reported earlier, GE Vernova has secured new orders for 109 wind turbines for RWE New Energy developments in Texas, with shipments beginning later this year. Since 2024, the Pensacola operation has manufactured nearly 500 repower turbines, delivering more than 850 MW of capacity to repowering initiatives throughout the United States.
Vic Abate, CEO of GE Vernova Wind, said:
“Our dedicated employees in Pensacola are working to address increasing energy demands for the US. The workhorse turbines manufactured at this world-class factory are engineered for reliability and scalability, ensuring our customers can meet growing energy demand.”
FloridaWest shared on March 28 a GE Vernon press release on the RWE contract last week but missed the Pensacola event.
