For thirty years, Boogie Inc. has been the voice behind one of Pensacola’s most beloved events. As the professional sound provider for the Pensacola Beach Red, White and Blues Air Show, this DJ entertainment company has transformed from a service contractor into an integral part of the community celebration.
The Santa Rosa Island Authority first hired Boogie Inc. in 1995.
- Boogie Inc.’s responsibilities extend far beyond playing music. Their DJs serve as the event’s voice, making crucial announcements about show schedules, water safety, and even helping reunite lost children with families. This comprehensive approach demonstrates their understanding that great sound services enhance the entire attendee experience.
Boogie’s preparation begins days before the first flight. McDonald’s team starts setup on Tuesday, well before the Blue Angels’ Circle and Arrival maneuvers on Wednesday. Their coverage stretches from the Public Safety Building across Casino Beach to the east side of The Dock, ensuring every spectator can clearly hear announcements and enjoy family-friendly music.
Additionally, Boogie Inc. provides an Air Show feed for radio and television stations, and streaming services, which extends the air show broadcast to listeners outside of the Show Center area at Casino Beach.
“It’s a long, hot week for us, but we look forward to it all year,” said McDonald. “If you need us, just look for the bright yellow Boogie shirts. We are here to help.”
Their music adds so much to the excitement of the show. Casino Beach is the place to be because of Boogie Inc. and the narration. Center stage! Whenever I hear those songs elsewhere it brings me back to these shows. (Yeap, long time big fan!)
