LGBTQ+ Acceptance Doesn’t Make UWF Liberal

Our readers understand that being accepting of LGBTQ+ students doesn’t make a university “liberal.” The research and rankings repeatedly support that the University of West Florida isn’t a “liberal” institution and fosters open dialogue on all political views.

District 7 Town Hall

Pensacola’s District 7 covers most of the city’s dwindling Black community. For the third time in five weeks, city officials held a town hall meeting in the West Moreno Street area. The first one got out of control as residents voiced strong feelings about Police Chief Eric Randall’s resignation and gentrification. The meeting on August 26 with Councilman Delarian Wiggins was much calmer, but many of the same topics surfaced.
