And now this: Sheriff Morgan refuses to release homicide details to PNJ because of cartoon

Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan is upset over a PNJ editorial cartoon. He has instructed his public relations unit to no longer give direct comment to the daily newspaper, according to an article on pnj.com.

The newspaper was seeking information an attempted homicide last week and the ECSO’s search for suspect Kevin Antonio Jordan II.

A spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office told the PNJ reporter the agency will fulfill its legal obligations regarding the release of public records and public information but nothing more.

Meanwhile, a suspect is on the loose and the citizens have few details.

You can find limited information on the suspect on the ECSO Facebook page under the “LUCKY Wheel of Fugitives Winner post.”
