Armed Forces Day & Blue Star Salute

On Saturday, May 21, help honor those who serve and our fallen heroes at Alabama’s 17th Annual Armed Forces Day & Blue Star Salute — A full day of entertainment, fun, food trucks, and 5K Run/Walk and fun run at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Raffles for car detail and scuba diving course.

Starting at 9:30am, come out to see the Silver Wings Parachute Demonstration Team, UH 60 Black Hawk Helicopter, Sons of American Revolution, Blue Star Salute & Gold Star Recognition Ceremony, Vendors and veterans resources to connect with, food trucks, military static displays, and more. Quilts of Valor will be awarding quilts to 6 deserving veterans at 12:30pm.

This event is open to the public at no charge. The USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park collects a small parking fee per vehicle. Check out www.armedforcesdaymobile.com.

The 5K Run starts at 7:30am.  Come early to register for 5k run/walk and fun run or you can register online.
