Bannon may testify [podcast]

Former White House strategist Steve Bannon said in a letter this weekend to the Jan. 6 committee that he is now willing to testify after receiving a letter from former President Trump waiving executive privilege, according to a letter obtained by ABC News.

In the letter, an attorney representing Bannon, who previously defied a subpoena from the committee and is awaiting trial on criminal contempt charges, says that “circumstances have now changed” and that the longtime Trump ally would prefer to testify at a “public hearing.”

ABC News’ Alex Presha has the details.
