Baptist Health Care CEO Mark Faulkner told Inweekly this morning that his system is looking at setting up a second testing clinic for COVID-19 in south Santa Rosa County.
“Five of the county’s six cases are in the Navarre area,” said Faulkner. “We want to improve access to testing there.”
Baptist’s testing in Pensacola has gone well, according to the CEO.
Faulkner shared that he is setting a regular conference call with the hospital presidents, Dr. John Lanza of the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County, Mayor Grover Robinson and County Administrator Janice Gilley. Currently, Baptist is in daily communication with the Emergency Operations Center and is sending it supply requests to the EOC incident command.
