Bay County de-evolves

The Bay County School Board voted Wednesday to take a position against teaching only evolution in the classroom.
The State Department of Education is proposing new Sunshine State Standards for science, which includes guidelines on teaching about how life evolved.

The News Herald reports:

The School Board’s resolution urges the wording be changed to “allow for balanced, objective and intellectually open instruction in regard to evolution, teaching the scientific strengths and weaknesses of the theory, rather than teaching evolution as dogmatic fact.”
