Benefit for John Collins

John Collins is a 32-year-old father and husband. John is a local small business owner with no health insurance who has been diagnosed with a Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor.

This diagnosis has been devastating to all who know him. He has undergone two separate brain surgeries to remove the tumor, six weeks of radiation, and is continuing his chemotherapy daily.

On Feb. 23, his friends are holdings a dinner and silent auction at Soiree.The auction we includes items such as massages,jewelry from several local jewelers including Rocky Hard, paintings and other artwork, and a vacation stay in Costa Rica, in Ashville, N.C., and stays at Pensacola beach as well. Restaurants such as Jackson’s and the Fish House have also donated. 100% of all the money raised will be given to support John’s family.

Cost is $55 per person which includes dinner and drinks. Cocktails and silent auction begin at 6:30 p.m. Call 438-2003 by 2/20 for reservations.
