U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will attend Opposing Solo Capt. Jeff Kuss’ memorial and funeral services, scheduled for June 9 and 11.
A private memorial service for the Kuss family, Blue Angels team members and families, and other military personnel will be held at the Naval Air Station Pensacola base chapel at 11 a.m. CDT, June 9. The memorial is closed to the public and media.
Additionally, all those who wish to show their support for Capt. Kuss, are encouraged to attend a candlelight vigil at Veterans Memorial Park in Pensacola, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CDT, June 9. The Blue Angels are immensely grateful to the City of Pensacola and the Blue Angels Association for organizing the Vigil, and providing a special opportunity for the team to honor and remember Capt. Kuss with the Pensacola community.
The Blue Angels team will then travel to Durango, Colorado, June 10, and attend a private funeral for Capt. Kuss, surrounded by friends and family, June 11.
