BP ‘Static Kill’ May Have Worked

The AP reports that BP is currently doing tests to see if it has successfully plugged its broken well with last month’s “Static Kill” operation. If mud from that operation filled the hole, it may not have to implement the “Bottom Kill,” which had been planned as the final fix to the problem.
