Breaking: More on PHS football game

Escambia County School Superintendent Tim Smith this morning told Inweekly that decision to move this week’s Pensacola High Football home game to 9 a.m. Saturday morning at Tate High School was based on information from the Pensacola Police Department and was not because of the melee at the football at Booker T. Washington High School last Friday.

Smith wouldn’t share the PPD info and told our reporter to contact the police, which he is doing.

Inweekly yesterday morning made a public request for the police reports regarding the Aug. 26 melee at Washington High. We will share them when received.
