Breaking news: Wahoo pitching coach promoted to Reds

Pensacola Blue Wahoos pitching coach, Danny Darwin, has been promoted to the Reds after a shake-up this morning. Red manager Bryan Price and pitching coach Mack Jenkins were relieved of their duties after 18 games.

Two former Wahoo managers have also been promoted. Reds bench coach Jim Riggleman, manager of the Blue Wahoos 2012 inaugural season, was named Cincinnati’s interim manager. Louisville (Triple-A) manager Pat Kelly, who managed the Wahoos to their league championship last year, was named Cincinnati’s bench coach. Darwin will be the pitching coach.
