Santa Rosa County property appraiser Greg Brown is battling the Florida Department of Revenue over lowering property values for the 2007 tax roll. DOR is auditing his tax rolls.Yesterday Brown, along with Sen. Durell Peaden and Rep. Greg Evers met with DOR officials to challenge the audit. Brown contends that home values have been artificially increased values due at a time when taxes are supposed to be going down.
