While Mayor Hayward and the City are dealing with the old Blount school, Brownsville Middle School on West Avery Street remains abandoned. I visited the school during lunch. Three trailers are parked on the property. The gate has been pried apart, and someone as stripped the air conditioning unit. It’s a shame the county doesn’t have the leadership to deal with this.
Who will make the School District tear down this eyesore?
