Bruce Beach clean-up planned for July 18

From Ann Hill for City Council District 6 Campaign”

DETAILS:

Ann Hill, candidate for City Council, is partnering with Keep Pensacola Beautiful, The Tanyard Neighborhood Association, Dr. Gloria Horning, Dan Lindemann and Jerry Holzworth, for a community clean-up of Bruce Beach.*  Join us Wednesday, July 18, from 4:30-6:30 at the Keep Pensacola Beautiful truck, which will be parked near Main Street and Coyle, just west of Maritime Park near Nick’s Boathouse.

We are excited for the public to see this gorgeous waterfront area downtown, and to clean up shoreline habitat that is vital to native wildlife. The access to Bruce Beach is a short walk, with grassy areas and unmaintained sections. Participants must wear either long socks or pants, and sturdy shoes. Flip-flops will not be allowed for your safety. We will provide all necessary cleaning supplies, and drinking water—please bring a refillable water bottle. The City of Pensacola will be providing beach access, sanitation collection services, and a portable bathroom.

Participants may park across the street at the old ECUA site. This event is weather-dependent, and may be delayed or rescheduled. Please visit facebook/HillForD6 or call Ann Hill at 850-432-9979, for more information.
