Buzz: Hayward declines Triumph appointment

Sources in Tallahassee have reported to Inweekly that former Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward has declined the appointment to the Triumph Gulf Coast Board of Directors, citing the heavy workload at his new job.

Gov. Ron DeSantis will appoint someone to the spot. Hayward was appointed by former Gov. Rick Scott during the last days of Scott’s administration.
