The Pensacola Pelicans, the area’s minor league baseball team, is working on a special fundraiser with its league, American Association of Independent Baseball, to help rescue and treat Pelicans and other birds hurt by the BP Oil Spill.
The team is setting up an non-profit: “Pelicans for Pelicans.” AAIB teams will ask for donations at all their home games.
