We’re hearing that the fence (shown above) could force the cancellation of the UWF football scrimmage planned at the Maritime Park stadium for Oct. 17.
The fence, which has been propped up with 2×4’s, needs to be moved back to accommodate a regulation football field. The city and/or CMPA are apparently reluctant to pay for moving the rickety left field fence.
The fence could also lead to the 2015 Soul Bowl having to be relocated. The annual youth football event is scheduled at the stadium for Oct. 10.
