State Rep. Michelle Salzman has no opposition in her re-election bid next. However, that didn’t stop her from raising a record-setting $112,995 for the second quarter of 2025.
- However, as has been her pattern for years, the Cantonment Republican spent most of it ($99,405), leaving her campaign and two political action committees, Committee to Protect Northwest Florida and Friends of Michelle Salzman, with a net of only $13,590 for the quarter.

Salzman ‘s spending habits have attracted attention since she first ran for the House 1 seat. In July, we reported her PAC, Committee to Protect Northwest Florida, had raised $66,000 since the November 2024 general election and spent $122,116 . Her new PAC, Friends of Michelle Salzman has raised $37,950 and spent $15,119. Her 2026 campaign has raised $29,779 and spent $19,033. - Meanwhile, Democrat Mathis spent only $6,397, an average of 21 cents per vote.
