In documents filed this morning, the Childers mention that a third person, financial advisor Cameron Smith, accompanied them to help Bruce Childers qualify to run for Supervisor of Elections on Wednesday, June 12. Smith allegedly overheard the couple being told everything needed to be done had been done. Read 9-12-10-99 Childers, page 4.
“When the Plaintiff, Bruce Childers, his wife, Pam Childers, and his financial advisor, Cameron Smith, left the Supervisor’s office on June 12, 2024, they were told everything that needed to be done had been done, as verified by the Supervisor’s dual-verified checklist.”
Attorney Ed Fleming didn’t mention Cameron Smith being with the Childers on June 12 in his emergency motion. In his motions, Bruce Childers only mentioned his wife and him being told they were qualified.
Supervisor Robert Bender doesn’t mention Smith being with the couple when Bruce presented payment of the qualifying fee and the photo of the first page of his Form 6 (page 8 of the document).
Cameron Smith’s testimony will be interesting to hear.
