City workers considering union?

As I reported earlier on this blog, the City of Pensacola workers are exploring joining a union. Here is a notice we received today:

Representatives of the United Steel Union and the City of Pensacola will hold an evidentiary hearing on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 9:00am, 4th Floor Training Room, City Hall, 180 Governmental Center, on questions concerning representation and unit determination.
