CMPA attorney comments on Bell ruling

Ed Fleming, who represented the Community Maritime Park Associates, has issued this statement on Judge Frank Bell’s ruled in favor of the CMPA:

Judge Bell did precisely what a judge’s oath requires him to do;he applied the law as written by the legislature to the facts before the Court. He followed the law. When that happens, the system works as designed. I am very pleased with the Court’s ruling, and fully expected this outcome from the inception of the case.

I particular appreciate the Court’s prompt ruling, as the action, although baseless, nonetheless placed a cloud over all of the actions of the CMPA until it was resolved.
