CNN and Anderson Cooper examine Rick Scott fundraising

CNN’s Anderson Cooper featured Gov. Rick Scott in a piece on the “the extortion game” of pay-to-play politics. The segment was about more than Florida’s governor, but his “Let’s Get to Work” PAC received attention.

The piece by reporter Drew Griffin highlighted a November fund-raiser for Let’s Get to Work, where the price of admission was $2,500.

According to CNN, the host was The Principi Group, a D.C. lobbying firm headed by Anthony Principi, a former secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, who in 2012 landed a $1.8 million contract with the state to safeguard Florida military bases from closures.
