Commissioner suspended

Not Gene…..in Orange County.

Shortly after 8 p.m. yesterday, Gov. Charlie Crist had suspended Orange County Commissioner Mildred Fernandez, who has been charged with grand theft, bribery and accepting an illegal campaign contribution. At 4 p.m. today Crist announced he will make an interim appointment to fill the Orange County Commission seat. Fernandez was arrested yesterday.

So we know Crist is looking a county commissioners. Maybe Gene will hold on to his office because Gov. Crist doesn’t believe the charge warrants suspension. Several phone calls are out. I will pass along information as soon as I get it.
