Council member Maren DeWeese led on Saturday a group of volunteers, which included off duty firefighters, to clear out the brush on the city park on the Bluffs off of Scenic Highway. WEAR TV3 covered the work detail in its Saturday evening newscasts. Parents have kept their children away from the area because they might see people nude or engaging in sex in the bushes near the walk ways.

DeWeese recruited volunteers for the project. The Pensacola Police have said that they will increase patrols in the area.
