Crist inauguration plans

Gov.-elect Charlie Crist’s staffers are planning a series of events beginning with a breakfast in Miami on Dec. 13 and culminating with a swearing-in ceremony, a $100-a-ticket inaugural ball and other festivities in Tallahassee on Jan. 2.

The plans include an invitation-only “Youth Day” at Walt Disney World on Dec. 16.

The co-chairs of Crist’s inaugural committee include Brian Ballard, a high-powered lobbyist whose clients include Florida Power & Light, U.S. Sugar Corp. and the Nemours Foundation, and Brent Sembler, a shopping-center developer and political fundraiser who attended high school with Crist.
