Daily Outtakes: Frank White appointed to Citizens board

Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis has appointed Pensacola attorney and Inweekly Rising Star (2011) Frank White to the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Governors. He replaces outgoing board member Scott Thomas.

“I’m proud to appoint Frank White to serve on the Citizens Board of Governors,” said CFO Patronis in a written statement. “As a small business owner, attorney, and former state representative, I have no doubt that Frank’s expertise and insight will be an asset to Citizens’ policyholders statewide.”

White brings diverse experience to the role. As founder and CEO of Tag Tech, he leads a company providing title processing services and software to auto dealers, fleet owners, and auto auctions nationwide. He currently serves as general counsel for Sandy Sansing Automotive, overseeing legal matters for their 13 dealerships across Florida, Alabama, and Indiana. White’s legal background includes practice at the prestigious Akin Gump law firm in Dallas, where he specialized in business transactions and securities law with a focus on private investment funds.

White unsuccessfully ran for Attorney General in 2018, losing the GOP nomination to Ashley Moody. He was considered an earlier frontrunner of the Florida Senate in 2024 but stepped aside when Don Gaetz entered the race. White also considered a run for Congress when Matt Gaetz resigned but endorsed Patronis instead.

His wife, Stephanie, is also an attorney and serves on the Escambia Children’s Trust board. She served on the University of West Florida Board of Trustees but was passed over for an additional term by the state Board of Governors in November.
