DBPR Announces New Communications Director

Press Release: he Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) today announced it named Tajiana Ancora-Brown, an experienced marketing communications professional, its director of communications.

Ms. Ancora-Brown will be responsible for leading the department’s internal and external communication initiatives.

She has vast experience in marketing and communications where she served in various roles in the private sector within public affairs, corporate communications and marketing. Ms. Ancora-Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami.

“We’re pleased to have Tajiana join our team at DBPR where she will help us to continue to achieve our mission of having an open-door policy and fair enforcement,” said Secretary Ken Lawson. “Her expertise in various areas of communications and public affairs will help us to better keep all of our stakeholders informed.”

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly. The Department licenses and regulates more than one million businesses and professionals ranging from hotels and restaurants, real estate agents and certified public accountants to veterinarians, contractors and cosmetologists.
