DIB cancels wine festival

PENSACOLA, FL, November 22, 2013-Downtown Improvement Board (DIB) members have decided to cancel the Pensacola Wine Festival rescheduled for December 8, 2013. The Wine Festival was originally scheduled on October 5th but due to Tropical Storm “Karen” was postponed.

The Board’s decision is based on feedback from several vendors on the timing of the event. A full schedule of activities happening in Downtown at the holidays compounded logistics.

“Although canceling the Wine Festival is unfortunate this gives us the opportunity to create a Spring or Summer timed event with a more intimate and different appeal.” said Joe Abston, festival committee member and owner of Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen and Taproom and Tin Cow.
