DJJ: Workman leads middle schools in arrests

According to Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Workman Middle had more arrests, 25, than other middle school in Escambia County, and the second most of any middle school in Florida during 2017-18 school year. Only Bay County’s Jinks Middle School had more with 27 arrests.

Workman Middle had more arrests than the county’s high schools, except for nearby Booker T. Washington that had 40 arrests.  Washington High tied for the fifth highest volume of arrests in the state.

Escambia High also made the list for volume of arrests with 25.
