Elections
During the first two days of early voting, Escambia County had 2,476 voters cast their ballots. Four years ago, we saw 2,143 votes over the same period.
However, vote-by-mail ballots are lagging behind the last primary that included the mayor’s, governor’s and Florida cabinet’s races—2022: 12,452 votes compared to 2026: 10,374 votes.
- Overall, Escambia County has 1,345 fewer vote cast so far this primary than in the 2022 primary’s first weekend of early voting— 2022: 14,595; 2022: 12,850.
Republicans make up nearly half of all votes cast, both early and vote-by-mail. GOP voters are nearly two-thirds of the early voters.

Early voting continues through Saturday, Aug. 15. There are 10 early voting locations in Escambia County, and any registered Escambia County voter can vote at any early voting polling place. All early voting locations are open from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily.
