Early voting hours extended to 6 p.m.

Escambia County Supervisor of Elections Robert Bender announced yesterday afternoon that early voting would be extended to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

“Due to the impending winter weather conditions, we are expanding the opportunity for voters to cast their ballot. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday – January 18 through January 20, the seven Escambia County early voting sites will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. As more information becomes available and additional changes are made, it will be posted here and on our Early Voting web page.”

As of this morning, only 95 Escambia residents have taken advantage of early voting.
