East Hill Neighborhood Association installs Little Free Library tomorrow

The East Hill Neighborhood Association Board of Directors will be installing a Little Free Library at OJ Semmes Elementary School on Tuesday, May 23 at 12:30 p.m. The board of directors include current and past educators that wanted to give our zoned school a gift that will keep on giving. The gift of reading adventures! The library was personally constructed by one of our board members, Richard Christine and his crew. Please join us in this wonderful opportunity for the students of OJ Semmes Elementary School. Just in time for summer!

Earlier this school year, the board donated over $1000 worth of headphones and STEM activities to the school’s media center for student enrichment. In addition, we hosted a neighborhood winter coat drive that donated over 60 brand new coats plus dozens of gently used ones. For the Little Free Library, many neighbors have contributed books to kickstart the reading selection. The board is committed to supporting OJ Semmes Elementary and the neighborhood children.
