State Attorney Bill Eddins has recommended Dr. Deanne Oleske to the new chief medical examiner for the First District of Florida. She will meet with all four counties of the district to negotiate the terms of a contract. Once that is accomplished, Oleske will be submitted to Gov. Ron DeSantis for appointment.
Oleske is currently the associate medical examiner for District 23 Medical Examiner’s Office in St. Augustine, covering St. Johns, Putnam and Flagler counties.
