Emily Echevarria wins Staremaster Press Battle (video)

Emily
Emily Echevarria, Troy Moon, Carly Borden and I faced off in the Press Battle edition of Staremaster competition.

Echevarria, editor with Ballinger Publishing, won an epic first round against Troy Moon (5:40), and easily knocked me off in the finals.

This Saturday afternoon, director Sean Linezo and his crew will have a screening the original documentary Staremaster (2002), followed by a new video announcement by Kevin Smith (Dogma, Mallrats, Clerks, Silent Bob fame, etc.) introducing a short film that gives the history and context of the main event, The Rematch of The Decade.

Immediately after the screening of the short film giving history and context, the two STAREMASTERs will do a traditional weigh-in and press conference on stage and will take a few questions from the audience.

The Rematch of The Decade is 7 p.m. Saturday at the Saenger Theatre.
