Escambia schools stay open

Superintendent Malcolm Thomas has confirmed that all Escambia County School District schools and offices will remain open on Thursday, Sept. 1 and Friday, Sept. 2, 2016. All schools will follow regular start time and dismissal schedules.

All after-school activities will operate as planned, to include middle school open houses scheduled for tonight. In addition, all after-school sports will continue as scheduled, as well as this weekend’s Family Fishing Rodeo and Fish Fry.
