In response to the flooding that devastated several local communities, Farm Share and State Rep. Clay Ingram will host a free food distribution on Saturday, May 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ransom Middle School, located at 1000 W. Kingsfield Road in Cantonment.
State Senator Greg Evers, Superintendent Malcolm Thomas, County Commissioner Steven Barry and School Board Member Bill Slayton will join the volunteer efforts to distribute food and help families struggling in the aftermath of last week’s storm.
Families in need will be provided with Farm Share food-bags free of charge. Each household will receive a variety of fresh produce that is in season, along with bottled waters, blankets and other needed goods.
“I am grateful that Farm Share has recognized the critical needs in our community, and I look forward to partnering with them to help local families who are struggling after so much devastation,†said Rep. Clay Ingram.
