Farm Share and Representative Mike Hill host free food distribution for Pensacola area needy families tomorrow

Farm Share is partnering with Rep. Mike Hill to sponsor a free food distribution on 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Brownsville Assembly of God, located at 3100 West De Soto St.

Families in need of nutritious food will be provided Farm Share food bags free of charge. Each household will receive a variety of fresh produce that is in season, along with other nutritious food.

Last year alone, Farm Share distributed more than 23.4 million pounds of food to hungry families, children, seniors and veterans, serving more than one million Florida households. Farm Share is the largest fresh produce program in Florida and the only statewide and local food bank program that does not charge a fee for any food it provides to community organizations.
