Crime Alert: Female Assaulted in Publix Parking Lot
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an assault complaint that occurred this morning in the Publix Grocery Store parking lot located at Nine Mile Rd. and University Pkwy. A female reported that a white male with strawberry-blonde, shoulder-length hair/tall and thin approached her at her vehicle and grabbed her by her wrists. The white male was only wearing a t-shirt, no pants. The suspect attempted to pull the victim’s hand toward his genitals. The victim resisted and the suspect fled. A witness saw the suspect fleeing in a grey Saturn. The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.
