Fentanyl-Related Overdose Death Leads to Homicide Charges

Press Release: Pensacola Police have arrested Keoki Mantel Simmons, 50, of Pensacola, charging him with Homicide in connection with a woman’s deadly fentanyl-related overdose that occurred on Thanksgiving morning 2025.

Following an intensive investigation, detectives determined Simmons provided narcotics to the victim, Mary Sullivan, prior to her being found deceased by family members.

Simmons was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Escambia County Jail with no bond.

Pensacola Police emphasize that anyone who brings dangerous narcotics into our community, causing harm to families and loved ones, will be aggressively pursued and held accountable. The family of Mary is heartbroken by her loss and hopes that her death serves as a reminder that every life matters.
