Former Escambia Co. watchdog may get another call

Orlando Sentinel reports that Jim Moye may get the call to replace that region’s embattled toll agency director, at least on an interim basis. Moye was called on in 1995 by then-Gov. Lawton Chiles to clean up a fiscal mess caused by Comptroller Joe Flowers investing heavily in risky derivatives that left Escambia County government facing a $25 million investment loss.
