Get Ready for a Fitness Revolution in 2015

The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department, Community Maritime Park and Aim Escambia have partnered to offer the 2015 Fitness Revolution, a series of free fitness events at the Community Maritime Park each Saturday throughout the month of January. The Fitness Revolution was started as an annual motivational fitness series to help citizens focus on their health and fitness goals through classes and support from organizations and fitness centers.

“Participants can take part in free fitness classes and activities each week to not only get motivated to meet their fitness goals in the upcoming year, but it also gives them an opportunity to try different types of classes without the commitment of locking into a particular style or studio. It’s really almost like a wine-tasting but for fitness,” said organizer Justin Paul CMP Program Specialist for the City of Pensacola.

The Fitness Revolution kicks off January 3rd from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. starting with an invigorating warm up walk around Community Maritime Park with Mayor Ashton J. Hayward which leads into twelve group fitness class demonstrations, health and wellness information booths, and interactive activities for the entire family.

Each Saturday of the month will feature more group fitness classes at the Community Maritime Park starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending around noon. Details can be found on the Community Maritime Park Facebook page and
