GOP strategy…will it work?

  • Announce conviction of Saddam Hussein trial before the court completes written verdict (that will be Nov. 9).
  • Have Pres. Bush campaign like hell – reminding people of his “War on Terror”
  • Overlook $340 billion spent on Iraq War and instead talk about drop in deficit – “Tax cuts work. We need more.”
  • Make the most of any Dem miscue – like Kerry’s joke about only the uneducated being in Iraq War – while ignoring Abramoff, Foley and Haggard.

Will it be enough to keep control of U.S. House and Senate?
