Gov. Rick Scott toured Palafox Place with Sheriff David Morgan and Mayor Ashton Hayward. He stopped and talked with several business owners. He told me that his biggest concern has been the safety of the people whose homes were damaged. Gov. Scott told me that over 300 people have had to be evacuated.
Mayor Hayward talked about the damage in the Piedmont Street area and how Scenic Highway was washed out. He is waiting on news from ECUA about the condition of city water and sewer.
