Great almost job announcement

For the past month there has been a buzz that ST Aerospace Mobile was looking to move from Mobile to Pensacola. The Mobile Press Register reported the company that has more than 1,000 employees was being recruited by Pensacola Ashton Hayward, which upset the Mobile Chamber president. Later the daily’s business Carlton Proctor did a follow up on our blog post.

This week the buzz intensified with Reuters reporting “…Hayward said he soon expects to announce a deal with an aerospace company that will bring more than 300 jobs to his city in northwest Florida that is near or home to six U.S. military facilities.”

Soon…

Let’s hope that it happens. The 300 jobs would be a great boon for our area.
