Hillary Clinton won popular vote

With 98% reporting, Hillary Clinton appears to have won the popular vote by more than 237,000 votes. The last time a candidate won the popular vote but lost the election in the Electoral College was in 2000, when Democrat Al Gore had almost 543,000 more votes than the winner George W. Bush.

The irony is many political pundits thought the Electoral College would give Clinton an advantage.
