The Department of Homeland Security is hosting a Cybersecurity Roundtable with Pensacola-area government, business and academic leaders, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. at the University of West Florida Conference Center, 11000 University Pkwy.
Jeanette Manfra, Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications at the Department of Homeland Security, will give opening remarks. She will be joined a panel that includes Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward; Doug Underhill, Chairman, Escambia County Board of County Commissioners; Dr. Eman El-Sheikh, Director, Center for Cybersecurity, University of West Florida; Rita M. Lay, Gulf Power Company; Paul Lashmet, Commanding Officer of Navy Information Operations Command, Pensacola, and Ray Murphy, Chief Information Officer, Navy Federal Credit Union.
A Cyber Career Information Expo, featuring information about career and educational opportunities in this fast-growing sector, follows the roundtable, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Both events are open to the public.
